Formed from the ashes-of-awesome-but-never-released-their-album-despite-waiting-years-to-do-so (pant pant) birmingham based noise-rock band Distophia (of which have the dubious honour of having the song that gets stuck in my head the most recently, with the noisy bouncefest Robert Redford), I’ve been watching Calories with great interest, and I’m not dissapointed.
The latest track posted on myspace (“Adventuring”) is another big slice of Distophia-esque excellance. And having seen a comment from Smalltown America’s very own Mr. Guntrip that an album is due in February (any connection there?), now is a great time to start listening and enjoying this great new band.
